Professional organization PublisHer has launched PublisHer Studio, a free online learning platform for women in publishing. The platform will offer an eight-week program to 20 women, beginning October 5, with training led by publishing leaders and industry experts, covering topics from AI and business strategy to leadership and communication skills.
“For seven years, PublisHer has been listening to women across the global publishing industry,” Bodour Al Qasimi, founder of PublisHer, said in a statement. “We consistently find that besides career opportunities, women are hungry to build the knowledge, confidence and networks that enable them to lead.”
Participants who complete the program will receive a certificate and a one-year PublisHer Premium membership. The program is open to women 18 and older working in book publishing who are fluent in English, with priority given to those at small and independent houses and in junior- to mid-career roles. Applications open and will be accepted until August 1.
